One of those days where I sort of regret not having solicited a guru at some point. My practice is now in a spiral or cycle, and I'm not sure if I should just stay hands off and see if it deepens, or if there's an exit ramp I'm not seeing.

Like, do I just go on stretching and moving automatically, which goes into energy flows and dance, goes into bliss, goes into loosened conditioning, goes into more energy flows and mental decluttering, goes into... Or are you supposed to take a plunge somewhere?

A lot of practices have definitive points where you *should* do something specific, lest you miss the train. But some don't.

When the correct action is no action, trying to do anything at all is a mistake. When some action is necessary, sitting on your hands is a mistake. This isn't always straightforward.

The same principle is at work in any kind of learning. Most of the time, it's fundamentals. Fundamentals, fundamentals, fundamentals. Work on those. But sometimes, you risk stagnation if you don't try something new. Figuring out which time is which is a hard problem.
