If this makes sense to you, you understand the Buddhist ideal of nibbāna (nirvana). Before the Buddha, the ideal was "the best experience." With the Buddha came the revelation that if you were not born, experience was a non-issue, and you wouldn't be there to feel bad about it.

It's not an anti-label stance on my part. I just find several things about Buddhism very disagreeable, and I don't buy into it.
