Cleaners did this floor 30 minutes ago. Properly.
Since then, some morons have thrown water all over the floor, missed the bin with some paper towels, peed on god knows what but it smells...
It's not men's room at a pub on a Saturday night levels of bad, but it's bad.

I should add this is at work, so no way there people don't intend to use the toilet again.

Looking at humans, I feel like you don't really need cascades and pollutants to explain climate breakdown.

Considering how many archaeological finds are essentially refuse dumps...
Leaving waste doesn't usually lead to problems, beyond "don't shit (near) where you eat (or drink)"
There is no need to evolve anything beyond a disgust response, which prompts avoidance and aversion.
