Some people consider it vanity to talk about enlightenment or "being enlightened". That it is putting yourself above others.
Which is funny, considering there are a few dozen definitions of enlightenment that don't connotate saintliness or exaltedness.
So whose vanity, exactly?

Either way, this strikes me a lot like people who are offended at others putting professional titles on their correspondence.
Sure, there are situations where that *can* be tacky, you don't write "Henry Thompson, PhD" in your Tinder bio, but come the fuck on.
