So let me make this clear. To fix this climate change thing by *reducing consumption* we have to fuck over everybody spending more than about £5000 a year. That's about a sustainable level of consumption... Or we can go-for-broke and vastly, radically increase technology fixes.

But a huge part of the problem e.g. with planned obsolescence is that we have better tech available that simply isn't deployed. Making several categories of intentionally shitty engineering illegal would go a long way, I think.
