As 9th graders in 1978 a friend and I read about global warming and decided we’d better study physics to help end fossil fuel use. 13 years later he was making weapons for DoD and I was on a Kochtopus payroll in DC. Remember what you cared about.

It’s hard to describe how easy it is to incrementally trade away your soul for a little security or recognition. Most people want you to do that and will encourage you. It will seem smart and right because people will appeal to your vanity.
