Reminds me of the mating strategy of many insects like moths, mayflies etc by swarming at anything remotely resembling a female. Wow betide us if any predator figures this out & mimics a young woman - it would reel in huge numbers of males!

Yeah, but unlike aggressive mimicry it doesn't weed out bozos, but strikes just about everyone.
Not sure every effect of porn is negative, but in our deeply toxic sexual culture, eh, the market is a bit oversaturated with creepy-ass content.
