reading Freud's correspondence with Jung and I cannot put into words how overjoyed I am to find that Emma Jung started writing to Freud in 1911 behind Jung's back to tell Sigmund that he's being a dick to Carl, not treating his own kids right, etc.

Have you read Masson's "Against Therapy" yet? Mostly a screed but his takedown of Freud was razor sharp and full of surprising data points

not yet, just started in on his volume of Freud's correspondence with Fliess looking for the real context of his about-face on the prevalence of child abuse. I skimmed The Assault on Truth a year ago & his argument seemed v convincing. I'll check out Against Therapy, thanks!
