It's striking how willing Greenwald is to make this completely farcical point, surely knowing better. Those other protesters just have this unfortunate habit of winding up in jail or dead under more-or-less mysterious circumstances.

Hooded antifa chapters are hardly the only form of civil protest fitting in some sense under "anti-fascist". In a way it may be the absolute least proactive form of activism under that rubric.

When you show up to fight Proud Boys or whatever, the police rarely condescend to do more than enforce unequally. Try going after the feds and see how long before you are found dead in a car trunk somewhere, like, I don't know, any number of activists recently.
