I don't think debating the relative merits of crony capitalism & socialism is interesting. Either system will kill most or all of us within the century. But the willingness to believe naïve oversimplifications is how partisans on either side stay engaged.

Essentially, you need a world view that doesn't limit your understanding to classes nor capital. Consequences is where the game is at. We are in planetary triage mode, here. You can't hear the klaxons?

What I'm most interested in is work that is politically agnostic or impartial, ignoring current paradigmatic constraints. There will be famines, so there will be wars. Regimes will fall. What are we going to pass on to those new orders?
