That was my point, really. The idea that powerful interests didn't have contingencies in place to see him not reach the stand alive is ludicrous.

conspiracies exist. it's the level of competency that they attribute to the conspirators that is usually implausible. something like this is pretty mickey mouse, if someone wanted him gone.
