It is an interesting argument because is both hilariously and obviously wrong, AND was already defeated once in living memory after decades of hegemony.

Sure. "The mind," as construed in Western thought is a bit of a magical construct that only maps to two real things: thoughts and imagery. The argument "all these myths about what mind is are false, and therefore those things in those myths don't exist," is banally fallacious.

But behaviourists already spent decades trying to suppress and deny evidence of all that other stuff, and were so thoroughly discredited that there seems little point in retreading it atm.
