Awakening phenomena seems to put you closer to the open sea than the clanging harbours of modern life, though.

An untrained mind is full of traffic, noise, populous with vermin and people alike, busy, intoxicating.
The better trained it gets, the more it gains a propensity for vast stillness, natural tides... and apocalyptic storms.
