Chiseling away, dismantling the scaffolding of frozen emotionality, false identification and numbed dissociation does make you more peaceful. But only because you are artificially agitated, alexithymic and anhedonic before doing so. After, most feelings become *stronger*.

At the same time, fully embodied, crushing sadness is *not* the same thing as the drawn out torture show of depression or emotional suffering. It's just a thing that happens, like breathing or seeing.
