Hypomanic self-care is almost identical as dealing with side-effects of stimulants: You really need to make sure to eat and rest and drink, even if these signals don't come through clearly. Neglect will fuck you up pretty fast.

I used to be notoriously bad at this, and would have short periods of hypomania during summer that would lead straight into exhausted crash depressions lasting weeks. The body can adjust a lot of its needs out of psychosomatic effects, but it still needs energy inputs.
