Many people "don't believe in magic", but I have yet to meet a person who doesn't believe in their own magical thinking.

I also frequently see this same dynamic in people that somehow say they believe in risk but not luck...
If you accept that you may face consequences that aren't dictated by your will/actions/intentions... then you understand risk AND luck. Luck is every bit as real as risk.
