I like to examine people’s absolute phrasings in terms of relative points of view about highly emotionally salient things
My prototypical example is:

ha, interesting! when I use weird I tend to mean "it's interesting in a way I haven't entirely figured out yet and I'm curious to know more". but yea that's not a very common frame unfortunately
