My Norwegian upbringing parses this as the insulting phrase that it is in that cultural context. Pretty funny, actually.
(It's roughly similar to "what were you thinking?" in English, at least in my hometown.)

There’s this line I like from Jon Kabat-Zinn- “who do you think you are” is actually such a tender, intimate question if we ask it with love

This is why I get upset when many linguists diss semantics.
(Just because they aren't good at quantifying it, I think.)
