The Black Death was obviously terrible to live through, but AFAIK, the prevailing theory is it (eventually!!!) did society a lot of good.
So, silver linings. We may just have fucked things up badly enough that we temporarily lose the ability to keep fucking them up worse.

One thing I really badly wish for is that as many people as possible stop throwing "we" at the problem.
"We" had "our" chance again and again and just kept making it worse. Expect no wisdom from a crowd.
If there was an immediate response today, it would be too late. DIY!

If you can do anything to make people you care about, or your immediate environment, less fragile and reliant on the Man, you should probably do that.
If you can't, well, I wish you the best of luck. Not much else to hope for at the moment.

There isn't a system keeping you alive, from modern medicine to power and food supply lines, telecoms and services, that isn't going to get fucked when places like India get hit by a *bad* year, shipments get delayed or stopped, key harvests fail...
There is minimal redundancy.

If you can grow food, have a water source, good shelter, and preferably a way to generate power or send transmissions, that will help. A lot.
Might want to start learning about those things, too.
