Debating whether to read Freinacht's Nordic Ideology for the sole purpose of writing a scorching review (unless, of course, I'm positively surprised). Is it worth the time to talk about the fundamental flaws in the Scandinavian political model? I'm not sure, but it might be fun.

It's not that liberal social democracy isn't superior on virtually every domestic issue to the current neoliberal hegemony, because it is. It's that porting this model of life to 7-8 billion is virtually impossible, and would barely put a dent in our climate fragility.

Nordic countries are nowhere close to one-planet consumption. Nowhere. Close. Green Nordics is a PR facade. But I feel I should read the book and see how well it's covered these issues.
