To feel like you have a "home" in a political party, you'd have to have been ignoring the pull in different directions from that outset, wouldn't you?

"Political identity" is identity politics for people who can't find another ingroup.

I just wonder if the kind of people who typically use this term have the same attitude to other groups in which they are/were involved. I'm thinking probably that they do.
