I waited far too long to watch The Wailing.
It's a trend with Korean horror that the third act is actually the best. Unbelievably rare.
The handling of the subject matter is spot on - makes A Dark Song look almost weak by comparison (it definitely isn't weak!)

As is often the case with Korean horror movies, it is a very slow burn. The payoff is tremendous, but it's not as spoonfed as EU/US horror.
Like most any Korean movie, it's also rife with absurdist humor and thick-as-shit characters. I love that shit, but it's an acquired taste.
