By the way, this topic creates a lot of distortions. Meditation does tend to make people feel better, esp. if you do a lot of it, and that's great! But it's not the only point, and if you're doing the practice for Reasons, avoiding difficult areas is just asking for trouble.

Even mindfulness salespeople tend to understand this, so it's really staggering how many people totally miss the point. But I don't blame them. There are lots of predators out there eager to sell distortions, and most stereotypes of meditation are Certifiably Dumb as Shit.
