Posting a screencap of someone's twitter post "life is soup, i am fork" in a facebook group got 400,000 impressions today. Meanwhile, the intro to the graphic novel we have been working on for 6 years got 102.

Somehow Facebook KNOWS. When I post garbage it always shows it to more people, right away. I've done considerable a/b testing with pretty large sample groups. It's uncanny.

Glad to know our biggest media are doing useful things like hacking sharing patterns to maximize impressions for their shitty ad business.
Surely, no unintended side-effects will emerge from big, dumb, adversarial social engineering of this scale.
