Brace yourself, guys, easy-to-produce deep fakes are coming and, I suspect, they'll have a massive influence. People will be influenced in a lot of cases even if they know the footage they're seeing is fake. And it'll add to the general level of mistrust.

It's gonna be one of those generational things, like email. Older folks (even my generation) are going to fall for this shit, and kids are going to internalize that no video can be trusted, ever.

I also think we'll see an establishment push for either-or-both of authentication or authorization of video. An actual blockchain use-case (!) and/or a massively exploitable "who watches the watchmen?" situation.
