Thinking again about how writers did Kilmonger wrong, and then Danaerys wrong in roughly the same way. The revolutionaries are framed as irredeemably violent, bloodthirsty, out of control, and this ends up justifying the status quo with some minor kinda-cosmetic adjustments

It's almost enough to make you wonder if Żizek's slightly batshit critique of GoT rings true.
Though in GoT's case, I suspect it's exactly the ending GRRM had planned, except written in bad Hollywood TV flavoring...
