Every time I have the misfortune of catching a glimpse of Swedish politics, I think of how much better off that country would be if it had dismantled its nobility in the early 1800s like Norway did.

The last landed gentry in Norway died a century ago. Even when you break a class' formal power, there are so many other forms of power that accrue to them.
Time takes care of that.
