Many things about life in the Czech Republic are whack. For one, the entire health care system is a fascinatingly awful fusion of communism and neoliberalism. Almost killed me last time I was there. But the sheer *weirdness* of Prague sticks with you. Such a beautiful city.

Musty cellar hospůdky; the ordinarily cold & disdainful Czechs who, after seeing you drink at their favourite place, will cross the street in rush traffic just to greet you; evening smokes by the Vltava, watching the golden reflections from the lit towers play across the water...
