It’s refreshing in how it doesn’t seem to give a damn about where you think it’s going to go. It certainly has its own sense of rhythm and interest. It feels almost like reading someone’s blog, actually

There’s something about Cher’s disposition that’s unlike anything else I’ve seen in pop culture. I think... I would describe her... as a teenage, underdeveloped Margaery Tyrell. She’s confident and has doubts, likes being popular and likes helping people. Multi-dimensional

(Margaery by the way was my favourite character in Game of Thrones - complex, multi-faceted, thoughtful and kind to others while simultaneously rigorous in pursuing her own self-interest... I was extremely mad when they killed her in a damn cop-out of a bomb blast)

A thing I like about Clueless (also true of Easy A) is that it’s comfortable being smart. It doesn’t dumb itself down for its audience - it’s cool with some jokes going go over people’s heads. It doesn’t try to slap you in the face with the smartness either (eg how Sorkin does)

Yeah, I saw your thread back in the day. I'd be happy to see it again, but I was stuck listening to that fucking song for a month after, so maybe not...
