when you say that something should be illegal, you're indirectly saying that that's something you think cops should beat people up over and lock them up for you might not WANT that outcome, but it WILL be the outcome, especially somewhere like the US where "swatting" is a thing

Yes, yup, uh-huh. Somewhere like the US or Philippines, one's effectively saying this is something cops should shoot teenagers in the head for. But there are plenty of scumbags who mean just that, unfortunately.
