Never found college profs worse than most formally trained "teachers", honestly. One of those things that is hard to teach and most cannot learn.

Also: Norwegian primary/high school teachers tend to be worse than clueless a lot of the time. Same in Poland. By the time you get to uni, they can often be bores, stuck up, bad communicators or profoundly uncharismatic, but know their stuff more often than not.

The former have formal qualifications, but those studies have some of the lowest entry requirements in the country. You only need a *barely* passing grade in Norwegian and maths, for example. The university teachers didn't get to sleep through every year of schooling to qualify.
