The insanity in the "Russian" threat model used by so operatives in the US, is the completely ludicrous idea that the Russian state would be anywhere near the top in terms of covert influence on US politics, even if every single unfounded claim were substantiated w/evidence.

It's going to be interesting to see the reaction from Americans when they collectively realize that foreign threats are nothing compared with a huge pile of infrastructure debt and a political system incapable of handling even basic menial tasks, let alone a serious crisis.
But it will still be extremely difficult to claim that the US didn't see it coming, from the basest hick to the highest levels of power.
Saw it coming and did nothing at all to stop it.
