In recent memory, Under The Shadow.
Also really enjoyed The Endless and Memories of Murder.
I think Under The Shadow caught me in a perfect storm of adjusting to parenting and a difficult relationship situation, so it was a really, really intense watch.

It's fairly common that horrors end up easing tension towards the end.
Under The Shadow managed to have a perfect curve. It just keeps getting worse. Not equally impressed with all the scares, but the atmosphere was the most well-crafted I have ever experienced.

Oh, and The Ritual! The Ritual was fucking great. But it has the occasional relief. Under The Shadow is suffocating.
