Stumbled upon the account of a guy I used to know, whose reaction to a falling out between us was to organize online harassment against me for 2+ years.
Every other tweet out of the dickhead is retweets about harassment with sentiments like "this is always wrong". Heh.

Good to know. The guy was in his 30s and thought targeted harassment and lying to mutual friends about a teenager was justified because he got mad at me once.
Now in his 40s, he's suddenly had a change of heart. Cute.
Except he was always like this, of course.

People who spend a great deal of time policing the behaviour of other people, but wouldn't pass a cursory inspection applied to themselves.
In my case the net consequences were 0, except some discomfort. But this guy and people like him frequently go after livelihoods, too
