For countries like the US? Trivial. For countries that near US-level influence or enforcement tools? Yeah, trickier, but still not *that* hard. It's mostly a question of whether never setting foot in said country again is feasible, practically or economically.

I would not take the death bet with the Fed. With enforcement in some tiny country like Norway? Sure, if the forfeitures aren't *too* costly, and doing business there not too essential.

The current way of treating oligarchs is pretty much a massive anomoly. The state could bulldoze most of them overnight, AFAICT. That they don't is very much so a (US and EU) political decision. Open question if it survives a decade.
