Feel a visceral urge to puke when I think about politics at the moment.
We are taking out millions of deaths in debt/year, and soon enough the first down payments are expected.
There are a few branching themes, but the tree is looking pretty rotten as you go down each one.

Any continuation of the status quo kills, at minimum, hundreds of millions, quite possibly breaks things beyond recovery (on a human timescale).
The planet eats your kids. Their biomass will form a new fossil layer long after the sun has bleached the last building away. Yay.
