jokes aside, I think this is a good measure that should be popularized + normalized
- people shouldn't be/feel trapped in their jobs
- those who take the offer get extra $$ on their way out + avoid being fired or having to resign
- average performance and morale should go up

This is why I get (probably excessively) opinionated about neoliberalism vs. capitalism.
Politicians, corporations and think-tankers hide Norway's success under the umbrella of "capitalism", but it's exactly the sort of capitalism that assumes you should want people to succeed.
I'm fascinated by how it contrasts and aligns with Singapore in this respect...
... and a bit concerned that both models seem to rely on leveraging their relative prosperity against others, so that it can't really be scaled.
