The idea that Boomers, as a group, bear no responsibility for the absolute fucking mess the developed world is in is ludicrous. That does not mean that some don't have more blame, and that some aren't essentially blameless.

This is a complicated issue though. Group responsibility arguments are also used to underly thinly-veiled racist argumentation. But it's extremely difficult to disentangle the "good" group responsibility arguments from the "bad" ones.

This is true, by virtue of most boomers being self-identified as white. But "white" is itself the ideological construct against which most racial arguments in "Western" society are defined.

Yeah. "White" is what they put in the census books, and where you get to go to school.
I'm white today. If I were born a century ago in Norway, I'd be an "inferior" mixed race.
There are still a few thousand racists in Norway who'd consider me such. I went to school with some.

There are more than a couple thousand racists in Norway, just few that care about Sami people since we look "white" by contemporary standards.
