The idea that Boomers, as a group, bear no responsibility for the absolute fucking mess the developed world is in is ludicrous. That does not mean that some don't have more blame, and that some aren't essentially blameless.

Boomers, Silents and the GIs made a choice when they became Reagan democrats. That choice was based on greed, fear and racism, and it fucked their children and grandchildren, even as most Silents, GIs and older white Boomers did win from it.

What Reagan did could not have been done if enough people weren't willing to vote for him. When Bill Clinton won as a third way Democrat, he sealed Reagan's victory. Obama, the tard so many people worship, praised Reagan to the high heavens during 2008.

This is similar to Thatcher's observation that what mattered was when Labour adopted most of their policies and their ideology. If the other major party in a democracy un-does everything you do, you get nowhere. Republicans and Conservatives needed Democrats and Labour to agree.

one more thing, the idea that there is no group identity or responsibility is a right wing libertarian construct, championed by Thatcher "there is no such thing as society." When you refuse to accept group responsibility you reify libertarian ideology.

Yeah. "White" is what they put in the census books, and where you get to go to school. I'm white today. If I were born a century ago in Norway, I'd be an "inferior" mixed race. There are still a few thousand racists in Norway who'd consider me such. I went to school with some.
