So, at the local supermarket, you can buy 2L bottles of pop for $1 Canadian. This is part of the problem of being poor: empty, even bad calories are WAY cheaper than healthy stuff. It isn't even close.

Yeah, I was nabbing some food in Norway and my grandpa wanted to know why I was buying it expensive there, rather than in Poland. Had to explain that the shitty food that most people get is a fraction of the price, but the food you'd actually want to eat costs almost the same.
