Are there traditional teachings designed specifically for jerks, or is that just a by-product of following certain traditional teachings?

There's a section in the Haggadah (the "four children") in which different kinds of teachings/answers are supposed to be given to different kinds of people, one of whom is kind of a jerk. e.g. chabad.org/holidays/passo
