we can not talk about mental health without talking about the way our particular economic system makes mental health an individual's problem at the expense of looking at social reasons for a person's wellbeing or lack thereof

Adult development is being left out of many social critiques right now, and people who simply don't have the capability to follow these arguments, are being derided and shamed for this. This makes matters worse, as it's over their heads w/o education/support.

Can you elaborate Vincent? I'm trying to relate what you said to the link that was shared. Are you saying that social critique is too sophisticated to be understood (too sophisticated for who?). How does this relate to adult development?

I like Vince and most of the conversations he had on Buddhist geeks. Many of his more recent preoccupations align with mine but in kind of a worrying "intellectual dark web" way.

Yeah, he seems to be drifting into a reactionary space and it would make sense that he'd suddenly think my posts are too social justicey and have to use like, debatable social science to make his point
