The one persistent thing I have against the intellectual dark web, besides the ridiculous name and the shoddy science, is the choice of enemies. Whatever I do, and wherever I go in life, being defined by my opposition to neo-Marxist university professors sounds like a bad time.

mostly agree, but if you try to make your living inside academia, or in the many areas of public life where these folks have made inroads, being confronted with authoritarian nonsense can be a real hardship. treating them with benign indifference has only encouraged them.

Gonna call that a qualified agreement. I'd go a bit further, inasmuch as I think it's a total red herring on their part, but yes. I haven't really seen any Lindsey Stirling types take their issues outside of academia (as if they applied universally). In-context, it's fair game.
