Dear tech companies, Employees don't need ping pong tables or beer fridges at work.

Employees need flexibility to do their best work and enjoy life. For instance, working remotely.

Please offer trust, not toys.

I feel like sentiments like this *should* be completely obvious, but our cultural rot is very, very deep. There is almost no reason whatsoever to maintain the current model of work, even from a completely selfish, profit-motivated corporate perspective. It's stubborn inertia.
