We see the ridiculousness on evidence in social media because it deals the most prominently with behavior and has the most data to model off.
But the madness is really everywhere.
It's not just social engineering.
It's also any kind of substitution that doesn't have definable parameters that allow you to brute force learning through inhuman repetition, like Dota or Chess.
