Arrogance is a two edged sword — too little and you have no self worth or self confidence. Too much, and yes, it can be unpleasant for others.
Perhaps consider the illusion of free will; I find it’s a good equaliser.

Third off, I'm mostly joking, but I do have trouble hiding my disdain for certain forms of stupid.
I don’t think there’s anything wrong with disdain for certain kinds of stupid, as long as you’re mindful of how it arises.
Handling it tactfully in personal interactions..., can be challenging. I’ve improved at this over the years, mostly by sequestering myself in a cave.
I tend to avoid contentious topics with people, if I don't particularly credit their intelligence.
I also change my speech patterns, but that's just basic respect.
Still, sometimes I'm just having a bad day...
