Arrogance is a two edged sword — too little and you have no self worth or self confidence. Too much, and yes, it can be unpleasant for others.
Perhaps consider the illusion of free will; I find it’s a good equaliser.
First off, linguistic QA is literally my job, so I don't exactly feel like doing it on my free time.
Second off, grammar Nazis deserve to be punched almost as much as real Nazis.
Third off, I'm mostly joking, but I do have trouble hiding my disdain for certain forms of stupid.
Though I'm not sure if that qualifies as arrogant or just not particularly virtuous.
I wouldn't say I treat normal people worse than they treat cognitively impaired people.

Yeah, well, my condition is somewhere between undiagnosed and "why is this weirdo doctor trying to get me to go on lithium?" but it feels real enough to me.
I've had enough bad drug experiences that meds are the last thing on my list, trust me.
They are absolutely useful for some people, but they're a blunt instrument - and I'm a delicate flower. :)
