The extent to which mental stuff is physical stuff in drag keeps amazing me.
Example: when meditating, let your eyes wander, then fix them. The difference is dramatic and (for me, at least) immediate.

Huh. I glaze out my vision when i do Vipassana-style meditation. Fixed, but out of focus.
Never thought much about why I do it, but it works immediately.
Yes, strange how use of different gazes can have some really dramatic effects. eg: you can tell when vision is too fixed/tense, because you almost immediately start going into a sort of trance state. Tension around the eyes is pretty instructive IME.
