I absolutely do not care one way or the other if you "politicize" your speech.
I do find it tremendously frustrating to see people sociologize their speech, though. On the whole, sociology is a shit discipline that almost makes psychology look good. Almost.

Most people I know fully acknowledge that people with engineering/programming/physical science backgrounds are not authorities on social reality.
But the number of people I know who think sociologists are authorities on the material substrate is somehow nonzero. Nauseating.
