I wonder to what extent young people walking all the time is a sign of bad health.
The last couple of months I've improved my treatment of my own body by a lot. Suddenly spend much more time running. Completely unplanned.

Walking all the time as in refusing to ever expend more energy than required for a mild walking pace?

As in not feeling the impetus to run much, whether for the joy of it or because you're in a hurry.
I'd include people walking at a brisk pace, too. I did that a lot before (still do - just sometimes feel like running as well).

I was confused since in parts of the US people don't even walk. I've always loved to hustle, especially running on stairs. I always thought it was a "serious adult mindset" thing to not run around, though maybe there's less room for fun/spontaneity now than ever.

There is definitely something of that as well.
But even if you're in good health, the urge to move just for moving's sake does decline with age. Hence why I stipulated "young people".
